Soul Deep, the first single from the forthcoming album Necessary Healing to be released later this year is more than a breath of fresh air. Its more like a hurricane blowing the commercially cliché’ music industry into oblivion. The combination of oriental and traditional African American rhythms combined with soulful vocals and inspiration lyrics makes soul deep a hit. Radio stations world-wide have been caught in the storm and so begins the Necessary Healing.
Knight took a great risk in starting her own label Strawberry Patch Entertainment after her former label decided on December 20, 2006 that her music was not compatible to the image of their traditionally hardcore rap label. This is not the first time Pamela Knight has gambled in the music business and won. In 1998, after selling her home, paying off her debts, and purchasing a life insurance policy for her daughter, Knight moved to Berlin, Germany with just $200 in her pocket. Six months later she had a hit single that had gone gold overnight. Pam’s amazing lead vocal talent catapulted Polydor/Zeitgeist Record label’s group Spike to instant success with numerous top10 hits, awards, appearances, and performances. Her lead role in the film Samba in Mettman opposite Hape Kerkeling and Alexandra Neldel proved that Pamela Knight is a talent not to be taken lightly.
From her days of braiding hair on her front steps at 8 years old to raise money for her basement musical productions; to a catering business, successful musician , successful mom, superstar actress, and now record label.

The promotion tour has begun... Knight will be in Europe till March 2007 and then will tackle the U.S. from there on.

My parents chose my name. I was born with it and it kinda grew on me.

I play live mostly in Europe and North Africa. I am looking forward to a promotion tour in the USA in the spring 2007. This will be my first time actually doing a tour there.
